Advertisement for the Post of Data Entry Operator in DST Projects
Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the following Data Entry Operator positions in two distinct projects sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. Both positions will be at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Sector-12, Chandigarh.

Project 1: National S&T Survey for Higher Education Sector
- No. of Posts: 03
- Fellowship: ₹28,250/- per month
- Essential Qualification: ITI with 3 years’ experience / Polytechnic Diploma / B.E. or B.Tech. / Graduate with One-year diploma in Data Entry.
- Age Limit: 35 years as of the last date of application (age relaxation as per Government of India norms).
- Job Responsibilities:
- Communication, data collection, and processing of information from various sources.
- Data gathering from NIRF, AISHE, and other relevant platforms.
- Verification and validation of data, integrating it with TERI software.
- Tenure of Post: Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable based on performance, co-terminus with the project.

Project 2: CHAKSHU Wikipedia for Blind and Visually Impaired
- No. of Posts: 02
- Fellowship: ₹20,000/- per month
- Essential Qualification: ITI with 3 years’ experience / Polytechnic Diploma / B.E. or B.Tech. / Graduate with One-year diploma in Data Entry.
- Age Limit: 35 years as of the last date of application (age relaxation as per Government of India norms).
- Job Responsibilities:
- Data entry and retrieval from Wikipedia, validation of data, and image captioning.
- At least 2000 images need captioning, with corresponding data entry.
- Extensive data entry, validation, and image captioning tasks.
- Tenure of Post: Initial appointment for 6 months, extendable based on performance, co-terminus with the project.
