Introduction
Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh invites online applications from Indian citizens for the recruitment of 03 posts under Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ categories on a Direct Recruitment basis.

Chief Security Officer (Post Code: CSO/177)
- Group: A
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
- Pay Scale: Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 as per 7th CPC pay matrix)
- Age Limit: 18-45 years
- Educational Qualifications:
- Degree from a recognized university or equivalent
- Height: 170 cms minimum (Relaxable by 5 cms for hill area residents)
- Chest: 80 cms (85 cms after expansion) (Relaxable by 5 cms for hill area residents)
- Must possess sound health (No defects/deformities/diseases)
- Experience: At least 10 years of experience as a Watch and Ward/Security Officer in Central/State/Semi-Government or large industrial organizations with at least 2000 employees.
- Preference: Candidates with an LLB will be preferred.
Blood Transfusion Officer (Post Code: BTO/078)
- Group: A
- No. of Posts: 01 (OBC)
- Pay Scale: Level-11 (Rs. 67,700 - Rs. 2,08,700 as per 7th CPC pay matrix)
- Age Limit: 18-35 years
- Educational Qualifications:
- Recognized medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule of the Indian Medical Council Act 1958.
- 5 years of experience in a Blood Bank after registration as a medical graduate.
- Registered with a State Medical Council.
Technical Officer (Dialysis) (Post Code: TO(D)/083)
- Group: B
- No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
- Pay Scale: Level-7 (Rs. 44,900 - Rs. 1,42,400 as per 7th CPC pay matrix)
- Age Limit: 18-30 years
- Educational Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrument Engineering from a recognized university with 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of dialysis machines and water treatment equipment.
- OR
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrument Engineering from a recognized institution with 8 years of practical experience (at least 3 years after the diploma) in repair and maintenance of dialysis machines and water treatment equipment.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees:
- General: 5 years
- OBC: 8 years
- SC/ST: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 5 years
Selection Process
Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Group ‘A’: 85 marks (MCQs) + 15 marks (Interview)
- Group ‘B’: 100 marks (MCQs)
- Each question carries 1 mark. Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The CBT will be conducted in English only.
Shortlisting Criteria:
- For Group ‘A’ posts: 3x number of posts will be shortlisted for further rounds.
- For Group ‘B’ posts: 5x number of posts will be shortlisted for further process.
Skill Test (If applicable):
- For certain posts like Chief Security Officer, shortlisted candidates will undergo a Physical Measurement Test to verify height, chest, and overall physical fitness.
Document Verification:
Shortlisted candidates will need to provide original documents for verification including educational qualifications, experience certificates, and other relevant documents.
Interview:
For Group ‘A’ posts only.

Important Instructions
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the document verification or the test.
