ECGC PO 2024 Selection Procedure:
Online Pre-examination Training
ECGC will provide online pre-examination training for eligible candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories. Candidates interested in pre-examination training must opt for it while filling out the online application form.
Recruitment Process – Online Examinations
The selection process consists of two papers:
- Objective Test (Multiple Choice Questions - MCQs)
- Descriptive Paper (Test of English Language)

The Objective Test includes sections such as Reasoning Ability, English Language, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, and Quantitative Aptitude. The test will have a total of 200 questions for 200 marks, and the duration will be 140 minutes.
The Descriptive Paper will consist of Essay Writing and Precis Writing, with a total of 40 marks.
