Applications are invited along with the attested copies of certificates of qualifications, experience, etc., for the purely temporary positions in the SAIF Department, PU Chandigarh, for a period of one year out of the “Earnings of SAIF”. The details are as under:
Positions Available:
1. Principal Project Associate
- Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent;
- AND Eight years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services;
- OR Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or equivalent;
- AND Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
- Job Requirements:
- Knowledge/experience of handling Electron Microscopy/GC-MS/ XPS, Mass Spectroscopy.
- Design and develop prototypes for different industrial consultancy.
- Practical Experience during Ph.D is preferred.
- Desirable qualifications: Relevant practical experience.
- Upper age limit: 40 years
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 49,000/-
2. Project Scientist I
- Essential Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Sciences or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Upper age limit: 35 years
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 56,000/-
3. Project Scientist II
- Essential Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Science or Master’s Degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized University or equivalent;
- AND Three years’ experience in research and development in industrial or academic institutions or Science and Technology organizations and scientific activities and services.
- Upper age limit: 40 years
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 67,000/-
4. Technician
- Essential Qualifications:
- 10+2 with Diploma in Electronics & Communication/ Computer/ Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering, etc.
- OR Graduate in Science/ Engineering.
- Job Requirements:
- Knowledge/experience in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Workshop.
- Well Conversant to handle computer hardware and software.
- Capability to operate and maintain the instruments available at the department of SAIF.
- Upper age limit: 35 years
- Monthly Emoluments: Rs. 29,663/- or as per current DC rate.
Additional Information:
- Age Limit: The age relaxation of 5 years will be given to SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- Application Deadline: The applications should reach the Department of SAIF, Panjab University by 14.08.2024 at 4.30 p.m. positively.
